Engineering Leader & AI-Augmented Builder
from CI/CD at scale to shipping production apps solo
I spent 4 years at Sonos building CI/CD infrastructure, then started Hasson, Inc. to build and ship my own products. I've shipped 8 production apps since — all live, most with paying users or real clients.
Then I left to build my own things. I've shipped 8 production apps since — all solo, all live, most with paying users or real clients. I'm not precious about the stack; I pick whatever ships the product. I use AI as a force multiplier across every phase of development, and it's a core part of how I operate at the speed I do.
Building and shipping production applications end-to-end as an independent software company. Shipped 8 live products across web and mobile — handling architecture, development, payments integration, deployment, and client delivery. Leveraging AI-augmented workflows to operate at startup speed as a solo engineering org.
Designed and maintained CI/CD automation infrastructure for both frontend and backend systems. Built pipelines, tooling, and test automation that kept Sonos shipping reliably at scale across hardware and software releases.
Production applications solving real problems — from financial analytics to mobile habit tracking to business operations.
Full-stack trading journal with CSV import supporting 12+ brokers, trade reconstruction engine, equity curve visualization, calendar heatmaps, and AI-powered analysis tools. Monorepo architecture with separate web and API services.
Mobile habit tracking app replacing streak-based systems with a physics-inspired momentum engine. Features AI coaching, gamification with XP/levels/badges, behavioral insights, and push notifications. Live on the Google Play Store.
Production business management platform for a custom framing shop. Full order lifecycle with Kanban workflow, Square payment processing, Twilio SMS notifications, inventory tracking, customer CRM, and public marketing site.
Cross-platform encrypted messaging app with NaCl Box cryptography (X25519 + XSalsa20-Poly1305). Real-time WebSocket messaging with per-message ephemeral keys for forward secrecy. Zero-knowledge server — the backend never sees plaintext.
Statistical analysis tool for traders. Upload trade history, define strategy rules, and get a verdict on whether your edge is real or just luck — powered by Monte Carlo simulation with 10,000 iterations.
Compare up to 4 vehicles side-by-side across 10 specification categories. Database of 600+ vehicles from 47 brands with cascading dropdowns and responsive design. Single-file deployment — zero dependencies.
Automated prediction market scanner that fetches active Polymarket markets, scores them for alpha potential using liquidity, volume, and spread analysis, then deep-researches top picks via Perplexity AI. Generates a slick terminal-style dashboard with verdicts, profit scores, key findings, and risk factors for each play.
Technologies I use across the full stack — frontend to infrastructure, payments to AI.
From technical support to engineering infrastructure — I grew through the company, solving progressively harder problems at larger scale.
Owned CI/CD infrastructure serving Sonos engineering across frontend and backend systems. Reduced build failure rates from 30% to 0.9% and cut build times by 77%, directly accelerating release velocity across hardware and software product lines. Built end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright across microservices architectures, validated API contracts with Postman, and leveraged AWS services for scalable build and deployment infrastructure. Mentored engineers across multiple teams on build systems, testing strategy, and DevOps best practices.
Led technical support teams of 3–10 engineers, building escalation workflows and developing diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex network interference issues across Sonos's connected device ecosystem. Bridged the gap between customer-facing support and engineering, translating field data into actionable improvements for product teams.
A closer look at the engineering decisions, tradeoffs, and results behind two key projects.
Existing trading journals were either too simple (spreadsheets) or too expensive and bloated. Traders needed a tool that could ingest data from any broker, reconstruct complex multi-leg trades, and provide genuine statistical insight — not just pretty charts.
Built a monorepo architecture with a Next.js 15 frontend and FastAPI backend. Designed a universal CSV parser that normalizes data across 12+ broker formats. Implemented a trade reconstruction engine that handles splits, merges, and partial fills. Added AI-powered analysis using both OpenAI and Anthropic for trade coaching.
Live at insighttrader.io with active users and Stripe subscriptions. The Monte Carlo simulation engine processes 10,000 iterations in under 2 seconds. Users can import their entire trading history and get statistical analysis of their edge within minutes.
Streak-based habit trackers punish users for missing a single day, destroying motivation. The psychology literature shows that momentum — not perfection — drives lasting behavior change. No app on the market implemented this insight.
Designed a physics-inspired momentum engine that calculates habit strength based on consistency, recency, and frequency — not binary streaks. Built with React Native + Expo for cross-platform, FastAPI backend with Supabase, and an AI coaching system using GPT-4 that adapts to each user's patterns.
Published on the Google Play Store with monetization via RevenueCat. The momentum system reduced user churn from missed days by reframing progress. Gamification layer (XP, levels, badges) drives daily engagement. AI coach provides personalized suggestions based on completion history.
I'm based in Miami, FL — 11+ years in tech, 8 at Sonos in Boston before going independent. Open to contracts, partnerships, or full-time roles for the right fit. If you're building something real, let's talk.
